Professional tour to China in September 2010, was combined a two-day visit to an exhibition of the Expos' with a visiting to Shanghai and its environs to seein private and public projects in architecture and engineering design.

Later the delegation traveled to neighboring towns to visit Hangzhou and Soochow including the traditional and rural side of China.

Expo 2010 is a global exhibition which was held in Shanghai in 2010 in the tradition of world fairs and international fairs that were held in 1851. The exhibition in Shanghai - "Better City - Better Life" - indicates the new position of Shanghai at the beginning of the 21st century as the economic and cultural center of China and the world.

The exhibition attracted the highest number of visitors in the history of world exhibitions. According to Chinese statements and directors of the International Association of World's Fairs, the exhibition broke all records in size, the number of visitors and the number of views ... And yes, the budget. The government has allocated an amount of exhibit 45 billion dollar for the exhibition.

Two thirds of this amount was from the state budget and the rest were commercial factors, concession sales, sponsorships and the like. $ 3.5 billion were dedicated to the establishment of the Expo site, and  for infrastructure such as bridges, roads, airports, communications, etc.

Any selected international exhibition has a theme and leading and participating countries are asked to adjust the exposition nature to the subject. The theme chosen - by the Chinese was Better City-Better Life. This subject was not chosen by chance. China is accelerating the process of transition from a rural to an urban society; and the process is not wihout accompanying their difficult struggles. World Exhibition "Expo 2010" opened in Shanghai on 1 May, 2010 and ended on 31 October 2010.

Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.

Ergonomics is employed to fulfill the two goals of health and productivity. It is relevant in the design of such things as safe furniture and easy-to-use interfaces with machines. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability.

In our daily work, day after day we are sitting in front of our computer, sometimes without knowing what the right way and even worse without taking care of basic precautions to prevent damage to our muscles, bones, sight and even the ability to work.

Today, Construmat is closing its 17th show, the most international in its history. A delegation of leading Israeli architects had the opportunity to participate in a training trip to Belgium and Germany where they were greeted by two major firms in the field of decoration and finish.

Grandeco (Belgium) is a firm producing rugs and wall coverings for walls, while Egger (Germany) is one of the largest producers of laminated parquet in the world.

In its facilities, professionals could visualize the great variety of options in the use of materials, colors and types, as well as a leading organization of production manufacturing. The order, cleanliness and strict control of production and quality standards ensure a manufacturing process model, product quality and outstanding warranty period.

In both places, the group shared ideas and received information from the local business professionals, and detailed visits of the facilities.

The tour was organized and sponsored by the company Carmel Projects of Israel, which has remarkable experience in the field of carpet, parquet, wallpaper and overall professional environment and contributes to one of the most important sources of decorative resources through several active centers in the country.
